Alexa Park Las Vegas: A Neil Diamond Tribute

The legendary Rob Garrett’s “KING OF DIAMONDS” Neil Diamond tribute Las Vegas residency continues in the “MODERN SHOWROOMS” at ALEXIS PARK HOTEL.

Neil Diamond is one of the best-selling and most iconic singer/songwriters in contemporary pop-rock music history.

In addition to being one of the top-selling and concert drawing artists ever, he’s also created and performed the soundtrack of our lives — including some of the most recognized songs on the planet.

In the beginning of 2018, shortly before his 77th year, Neil Diamond stepped away from live performances after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

However, Diamond’s concert legacy continues to be celebrated for audiences worldwide through tribute artist Rob Garrett, known as America’s premier Neil Diamond tribute performer.

Ask Alexa “who is the best Neil Diamond tribute artist,” and you’ll hear the same name.

Like his musical hero, Rob Garrett was a Brooklyn, New York native.

In the spring of 1974, his parents Rob Garrett Neil Diamond Tribute Show Alexis Park Las Vegas moved the family from New York City to Las Vegas, where, at age 16, he witnessed his first live Neil Diamond show when Diamond debuted in Las Vegas to record crowds at the Aladdin Hotel’s “Theater for the Performing Arts” in July 1976.

Garrett went on to see him multiple times across the country—right up until Diamond’s last American show at the Los Angeles Forum on August 12, 2017.

In 1980, Garrett created his own band, “Rock n Roll Heaven,” and enjoyed a decade-and-a-half career in Las Vegas and across the nation before deciding to move from cover band frontman to a full-time tribute performer dedicated to one of his boyhood inspirations.

In 1995, Garrett was hand-picked by the legendary Paul Revere to portray Neil Diamond in the world-famous “Legends in Concert” review.

What was meant to be a limited run turned into a long-term hit show.

By August 1998, Garrett returned home to Las Vegas and continued to perform with “Legends” for another two years before deciding to create his own tribute production.

He began a steady touring schedule, building a devoted fan base along the way—earning the title “King of Diamonds.”

He continues to draw packed houses nationwide, often in venues fit for superstars.

Garrett has also received multiple accolades, including “Male Tribute Artist of the Year.”

“Since Neil Diamond retired, I’ve felt a strong sense of responsibility to keep his legacy alive for future generations. It’s something I never get tired of doing,” he said.

On May 19, Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman officially proclaimed the date “Rob Garrett Day,” commemorating Rob’s 50 years as a Las Vegas resident and 44 years as a professional Vegas performer.

Now in this year, Garrett celebrates 45 years as an active Las Vegas entertainer, with the last 30 years devoted solely to paying tribute to the now-retired Neil Diamond.

It has been said that no other tribute artist is so closely identified with the original performer as Garrett, who has performed his show at more Las Vegas venues than any other tribute artist.

Since the June closing of “A Beautiful Noise” (the Broadway jukebox musical based on Diamond’s life story), Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” show has become the only active Neil Diamond tribute production in America.

The Alexis Park Resort is located at 375 E. Harmon Ave., about a quarter mile from Paradise Road.
